I am a strategic and creative person, with well developed business and leadership skills, who enjoys building relationships and networks. I work in a service design, business development and innovation role at MercyCare, a faith-based, not for profit organisation that focuses on overcoming disadvantage in Western Australia (WA). One of my responsibilities is to champion the use of lived experience in service design, peer support and social justice advocacy.

Prior to this, I was a consultant, advisor and coach to various types of businesses and organisations, where my aim was to help bring about people focused change, business improvement and organisational growth so my clients could have a greater impact in their chosen field.

I have enjoyed a 20-year international career in the global petroleum industry, where I developed an unusual combination of technical, commercial, strategic, business development, project and risk management, people and communication skills, many of which were transferable to the consulting and coaching world.

I have been an active and long time volunteer with Breast Cancer Care WA and Foodbank WA. I have also been an advocate within the WA mental health system, involved in legal and systemic reform.

I am still passionate about mental health and have provided leadership in de-stigmatising mental health issues, creating mentally healthy and resilient workplaces, promoting peer work and coaching people to manage their mental wellbeing to stay at work or return to work.

When I ran my own business, I used this website to advertise what I offered and also to share my blogs. Now that I work full-time for MercyCare, I am maintaining this website to continue to share my blogs.
